
Dewan Clayborn has been CEO and President of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce since July 2019. Clayborn is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, and majored in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas. Clayborn made the decision to move to Texas due to the state providing so many business opportunities. Dewan has over 5 years of managerial experience working for two major Fortune 500 companies.
Clayborn has worked in the chamber of commerce world since 2015. In 2019, Clayborn earned his Institute of Management Certification through the United States Chamber of Commerce Foundation (4-Year Program). He believes one of his spiritual gifts is serving others.
Since becoming President/CEO of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce, Clayborn has transformed and grown the chamber, bringing in over 400 new members to date. He also has a Certification in Nonprofit Leadership through Texas A&M. Dewan was a 2021 40 under 40 Honoree for the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and a 2021 40 under 40 Honoree for Galveston County.
Outside of the chamber, Clayborn continues his gift of serving by, donating toys to foster and adopted kids, being a lead usher at his church, mentoring his church’s youth, serving on multiple boards, and providing opportunities to youth through his annual scholarship fund.
Clayborn can also be seen playing basketball for fun and as part of a male division league. Clayborn lives by his chamber’s philosophy that we are “Stronger Together” and works every day to grow and impact his community.
