Diversity and Inclusion

UWGCM's Diversity and Inclusion Statement of Principle

United Way Galveston County Mainland strives to be a model of diversity and inclusion.  Our Board of Directors, staff and volunteers reflect the many faces, cultures and walks of life that proudly make up our world.

We respect, value and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics and perspectives that make each person who they are.  We also believe that bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our communities.  It is our aim, therefore, that our partners, strategies and investments reflect these core values.

We take the broadest possible view of diversity.

We value the visible and invisible qualities that make you who you are.

We welcome that every person brings a unique perspective and experience to advance our mission and progress our fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our communities.

We believe that each community member, donor, volunteer, advocate, and employee must have equal access to solving community problems.

We strive to include diversity, equity, and inclusion practices at the center of our daily work.

We commit to using these practices for our business and our communities.

Join us in embracing diversity, equity and inclusion for every person in our communities.
