
Kristin Edwards serves as the Economic Development Director for the City of Texas City, reporting to the Texas City Economic Development Corporation (EDC). She brings over 17 years of municipal government experience to the organization.
Ms. Edwards works directly with major oil and gas partners in the Texas City community, connecting existing industry with growth and partnership opportunities. She is currently working with multiple incoming industrial projects who are considering Shoal Point for their development. As Economic Development Director, Ms. Edwards also works directly with the business community, manages the EDC grant program, partners with local educational institutions to support workforce development, and participates in cross-departmental projects at the direction of her supervisor.
Ms. Edwards earned a Master of Public Administration degree from Sam Houston State University in 2014, and a Bachelor of Communications degree from the same institution in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoys time her friends and family, reading and volunteering.
